As these are made from carbon steel it will develop its own patina over time, thus meaning a little more care is required to avoid rusting. Keep these guys oiled, never soak in water, wipe the blade clean with damp cloth.
In the event a little rusting appears if the cleaning hasnt been kepts up to date... and yes we are all guilty of this use a scouring brush with a little vinegar (acid) and gently rub the area that has been affected, wipe clean then oil up. Most of all enjoy the time spent in the garden with these guys.
